Posted by in Hey Meth-heads. Josh here. Just wanted to talk a little bit about our new single “Wipe Your Tears”. Crazy we wrote this song in less than a day!! We usually record at my home studio to lay ideas down and it just took off. Ever just fell upon an idea or concept and it felt like magic?
Tyler started the music for the chorus, and this hook just fell in my lap. Then Chris came over put his super mad, funkadelic bass skills down and we knew this was gonna be exciting! From then on Dave put the drums down, Daniel added his electronic pizzaz which gave it this disco-ey eclectro sound. I literally wrote the vocals in one night with many cups of coffee and the song was birthed the next day!
Thats never happened to us! Now the “song” itself is about the concept is of the crippled friend, you know the one that always happens to mess things up or find themselves in trouble?? Somehow you find yourself being the person that comes to the rescue every time. Well what are friends for? I guess its that in between feeling of being needed but being put out. Your relationship should be honest and loyal, but there’s gotta an effort for grace to I think. In the long run it all makes great stories:)

Looking forward to seeing you guys perform at the Empire next Wednesday night — it’s going to be a long day for me with Good Day Sacramento doing the weather from our 14th Street location at 6am that morning!
(If I can survive the Green Day mosh pit at the DNA Lounge I’m sure I can survive a long day that starts with Good Day Sacramento. GD again… hmmm…)
Sure would like to be present the next time divine inspiration strikes and you guys crank out another awesome song in one day!
