We Battled, We Danced, We Won!

Hard Rock Cafe, Battle of the Bands Finals  Ever since the this band started over 2 years ago, we have entered into basically any contest we possibly could enter.   In some ways we HATE the thought of competitions!! Its like the Super Bowl  to some bands.. behind stage muggin people, breathing hard, clinched fist.  I wanted to ask, has anyone seen Willam Wallace around here!!???  You’ll never take our freedom!! ha..ha

We use to have a streak of 2nd place in battle of band like competitions, loosing points in categorize like..crowd interaction/participation involvement.  Not this time.  Hard Rock Cafe was a holding a battle of the bands nation wide, to choose the top performances for a chance to go to London.  Well…we never went  to London,bummer.. but we did make a statement in our home town of Sacramento.  Competing against some amazing bands, and 3 rounds later, we were announced as the winners for Northern Cal.

Watch the video..there’s a little screaming from Megan Cresci, one of our most loyal fans..We love you Megan!  She took this footage when were announced by Keith Brooks of 100.5 The Zone. Thank you to our  fans, friends, and family for supporting this night.

Michael Jackson

Michael JacksonMJ is a name that will always be in everyones heart. His music will be in everyones lives. Michael has influenced me with his talent of music. Even though I’ve never met him I feel like he touched my heart in many ways. He made the impossible possible. He is defenitley one person I would meet If I had a chance. That’s too bad that MJ had to go to make people realize how much he had an impact on our lives. I think I can speak for all people, he had inspired every musician! His musical talent and gifts off stage made everyone realize that he really was a good person. Out of all things I heared and noticed about MJ, he has never complained about anything! I wish all the Jackson family a good life and full blessings upon them!

GOD BLESS

Where do I start? My journey with MJ started when i saw the movie “Free Willy” way back in the day. He had a song on the soundtrack. I remember renting it and seeing the music video after the credits. I remember thinking how good his voice was… but i didnt understand the glove.. ha! I was more of a rocker in my teens, but MJ was the king and i couldn’t deny it. The moment that i became a true fan was when i heard PYT for the 1st time. the guitar riffs in that song are sooo funky!! i couldn’t help it! love was born that day. I can truly say that MJs music has inluenced everything about my musical thought process. All controversy aside… he is the king of pop music, the father of a genere. he will be missed forever.

I regret that I never got a chance to see MJ perform, well I was a little to young when MJ was in his prime..But.. In the 3rd grade my class had movie friday’s, my teacher had bought the recent video of “Beat It”, and played it for the class.  MJ’s moves, voice, and style made me think that this guy was super human.  At such a young age I was entertained by this Pop god.  My dad was a huge Jackson 5 fan, and would play songs like ABC, and Rockin Robin through out the house growin up.  No doubt Michael Jackson has been a major influence, not just in how I do music, but how I think about music.  Michael took risks and I think every musician, vocalist, or entertainer has learned something that has brought an impact into they’re soul of music.  Michael is dead but his music lives on.
